Creatively applying CMMI-SVC in A VERY SMALL CONSULTING FIRM

Bill Smith, CEO, Leading Edge Process Consultants LLC www.CmmiTraining.com

Speaker Biography

  • Mr. Smith is a nationally recognized software engineering trainer, speaker, and humorist. An SEI-Certified CMMI Instructor, he has taught Introduction to CMMI 45 times to 777 students. Mr. Smith is known for keeping his classes lively and engaging, and has won Outstanding Presentation award winner at the NDIA CMMI Conference each of the last two years.

Objective of This Presentation:

To provide a glimpse into how one very small company is, little-by-little, adopting key principles from the CMMI for Services (CMMI-SVC) to dramatically improve its bottom line

  • The CEO of a small consulting company invites you to learn how practical and creative application of the CMMI for Services (CMMI-SVC) has measurably improved his organization's bottom line. Mr. Smith will discuss the creative selection of services most in need of improvement, his application of just-in-time process improvement and as-we-go process documentation, laser-beam focus on the company's biggest problem areas, and success measured by net income rather than maturity level attainment. Attendees will walk away with an understanding of how practical, creative application of the CMMI for Services (CMMI-SVC) has been used to generate real business value in a small company.
