Speaker Background:

Mr. Gunn is a management consultant and trainer who specializes in cross-functional teams and matrix organizations. He has assisted more than 70 clients with matrix management implementation and enhancement issues over the past seventeen years. He is a frequent trainer, speaker, and consultant who continues to research and develop articles, books, and products to help enterprises tap the power and promise of the matrix form of organization. His training and facilitation style is fast-paced, high-impact and results-driven – lightly humorous and down-to-business serious all at once. He has international experience, having trained in Japan, Germany, the UK, Kenya, Ghana and Ethiopia, as well as US deliveries with executives and managers from Asia and Latin America in attendance. He brings his matrix management expertise to a broad spectrum of industries, including but not limited to pharmaceutical, medical device, high technology, scientific, construction and financial environments as well as governmental and non-governmental organizations
Matrix management clients include but are not limited to Unilife, Smiths Detection, Covidien, Abbott Point of Care, Harley-Davidson Financial Services, EDS, Varian Medical, ExxonMobil, Pfizer Global R&D, Novartis, GlaxoSmithKline, Accelrys, Covance, Moog, Inc., Underwriters’ Laboratories, Gallo Winery R&D, Sasakawa Africa Association, New York City Transit/Capital Program Management, EPA/Office of Research & Development, US Navy Bureau of Medicine, Defense Construction Canada, National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration., Food and Drug Administration, and the Defense Finance and Accounting Service.
He was a Principal and Practice Leader of Organizational Consulting at a major public accounting and management consulting firm prior to co-establishing Strategic Futures. He is a summa cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa graduate of the University of Washington whose graduate work in business was at The George Washington University. He is a professional member of the World Future Society, SHRM and ASTD. His work has been published by the American Management Association, The Futurist, Training & Development, Velocity, and others. Ron authors numerous articles and blogs on our website, www.strategicfutures.com which receives over 1 million hits per year. He has authored booklets on matrix management used by major corporations for their employees. His book, Matrix Management Success: Method, Not Magic was published in September 2007 by Infinity Publishing. The sequel, Matrix Management Secrets was released in October 2011. He also assists organizations by providing strategic planning, action planning and problem-solving facilitation services.
