Speaker Background:

Paul Strasser joined PPC in August 2014 as President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) following a distinguished 33-year career in Science, Engineering, Information Technology and Management Consulting. Most recently, Mr. Strasser was at Engility Corporation (NYSE:EGL) following the merger with Dynamics Research Corporation (NASDAQ:DRCO) in January 2014. At Engility, he was a Senior Vice President and General Manager leading approximately 1000 employees and $255M of annual revenue supporting Federal, Commercial, and State and Local customers. DRC was a 58-year old, publicly-traded company, which he joined in 2010. There, he initially led Corporate Strategic Development and later transitioned into operations with full P&L responsibility in 2011. At DRC, Mr. Strasser was a corporate officer and led several endeavors focused on growing key strategic markets including: Cyber Security, Science and Technology, Healthcare, Financial Regulatory Reform, Homeland Security, and ISR. Primary solutions areas included: Big Data, Cloud Computing, Scientific Computing, and Clinical Consulting. He supported customers across most of the Executive Branch of the Federal Government including most Civilian Agencies, the Department of Defense (DOD), and the Intelligence Community. During his career he has been responsible for capturing numerous large contracts for mission-critical information technology (IT) projects, some worth in excess of $1B.

Prior to DRC, Mr. Strasser enjoyed over 28 years of experience in technical and senior management positions. He served as Chief Operating Officer (COO) at Pragmatics for almost six years as they grew organically nearly five times during that period (2004-2010). At Pragmatics he led process improvement initiatives including ISO-9001, ISO-20000, and CMMI-Dev from Level 3 to Level 5 maturity. Prior to Pragmatics, Mr. Strasser was vice president and division general manager for Titan Corporation's Enterprise Services and Solutions Sector, where he provided leadership, strategy, management, and tactical execution for all operational activities at one of five divisions. Before joining Titan (where he spent 19 years including legacy companies), he served as a certified satellite operations engineer at Lockheed Missiles and Space. Mr. Strasser has a Bachelor of Science degree in Meteorology from State University of New York at Oswego where he also minored in Astronomy and Marine Sciences. He later earned a graduate certificate in Information Systems Management from the University of Southern California.

He is active in several Industry Associations including AFCEA and the Industry Advisory Council (IAC). He recently served as the ACT/IAC Industry Chair for the Executive Leadership Conference (ELC) in 2013. Earlier, at the Government Electronics and Information Technology Association (GEIA), he served as Vice Chairman prior to, and during, the merger with the IT Association of America (ITAA). Subsequently, he served on the TechAmerica Board of Directors, the Public Sector Board, the Reserve Funds Committee, and the Finance Committee.

In 2013, Mr. Strasser was honored by being a Federal 100 Award recipient for work in Information Sharing supporting the Department of Homeland Security (DHS).

Reservations: Cost for dinner is $30.00 per person if reservations are made by the deadline (the Friday before the meeting), $35 if otherwise. There is no charge to attend for the presentation only.
