About The Venue:
The Venue:
Step into Alexandria's brewing story—one that starts way back in 1770, when Scottish brewer Andrew Wales helped kick off the region's beer tradition, and rolls forward through the city's pre-Prohibition heyday before modern craft beer brought the torch back. Today, Port City Brewing Company (founded February 2011) invites you to see how great beer is made in their state-of-the-art production facility—and yes, you'll get to taste the results. On this 45–60 minute guided tour, our beer guides walk you through the brewing process, share fun behind-the-scenes details, and happily answer questions as you go. Then you'll settle in for a flight of six 5oz pours featuring a lineup of Port City favorites, and you'll head home with a souvenir glass—a classy little “I was here” trophy. And if you like your history with a side of bragging rights, Port City's quality has earned national recognition, including standout success at the Great American Beer Festival.
Tour: The 1 tour is a 45-60 minutes guided tour through production facility and includes product tasting.
Ranger: This tour will be led by beer guides that work for the facility.
