Short Description:

Quality managers often work with a diverse range of stakeholders and multi-generational teams. Each living generation in the United States, from the Silent Generation to Generation Alpha, all have a unique set of strengths, weaknesses, and opportunities. They can be brought together to help organizations deliver projects, innovate, engage associates, and achieve success. This presentation will provide an overview of each living generation in the United States from the Silent Generation to Generation Alpha, provide tools for how to build high performing multi-generational teams, and reflect on future trends affecting the global marketplace.

Speaker Biography:

Zac Jarrard is the President of Jarrard Consulting, LLC. The company is dedicated to bringing out the best in people through team building activities, project management training, and workshops to improve intergenerational communication at work. Zac holds three master's degrees from Park University and several certifications. His research interests include gamification, project management, and working across different generations.

Outside of his company, Zac is heavily involved in the community. Zac is involved with the ASQ Kansas City Section, ASQ Quality Management Division, and ASQ Measurement Quality Division. He is a proud ASQ senior member who serves as the Secretary for the Quality Management Division. Zac is an Eagle Scout who aspires to make the world a better place for everyone.

Earning Recertification Units:

Attending this 1.5-hour meeting will grant you 0.15 RU.

Optional Preparatory Review (OPR): 0.05 RU.

The OPR is an educational add-on to the main Meeting that you may complete if you so choose.

Completing and certifying its completion grants you an additional 0.05 RU credits on top of the RU credit you will earn by attending the 6/10/2026 Meeting, for a total of up to 0.2 RU!

2. Register through Memberplanet: https://mp.gg/ubad10nbz. Click the "Register Now" button at the upper right corner. Choose "1" (ticket quantity). Enter your name and email on the next page. Please enter the proper name to support RU issuance. At the bottom of the page, check "I certify that I have completed all three activities (23 minutes total of videos related to Building Trust, Communication, and Respect at Work) for 0.05 RU." Then Click "Submit".

[Important] 

(1) The submission must be completed BEFORE the Meeting by 7:00PM, 6/10/2026 (enforced by the Ticket Sales Ending Time in Memberplanet). 

(2) If you have not checked the box on the "Ticket" at the time of registration, Section 0511 will not record the additional RU credits for you.

3. Attend the June 2026 ASQ 0511 Member Meeting (which itself grants you RU). This is the prerequisite to earn the add-on RUs. If you do not attend the Meeting, you will forfeit your claim for the add-on RU, even if you certified for completing the video.  

4. Be willing to use your knowledge of the OPR materials during the Meeting.
